The Group gained 2 new members in September 2005, this brings the membership back up to 10, but one member is not able to participate very much at present due to work commitments.
There are now 3 members tackling transcribing which has meant much more progress in this task, but it is still a very slow job, it is hoped to add selected extracts form some of the transcriptions to the web-site in the near future.
Members will, in the coming months, be assisting the Millom Folk Museum committee with the recording of memories of mining in the Millom area. These will then be used with exhibitions in the Museum.
